Tour Description

The tour starts with a visit to the colourful bustling Market da Ribeira Lisbon’s biggest market. Built on the banks of the river Tagus your guide will explain the history of the market and you can meet some of the traders selling fresh fish, meats and vegetables.

Your guide will then take you on a tour of the city before you reach a charming little cheese shop where you can taste some of Portugal’s fabulous range of cheeses with a glass or two of local Portuguese wine & port. There will be time for you to buy some cheese before you make your way back to the Market da Ribeira for a buffet lunch in the large opened planned dining room where you can rub shoulders with the local market traders.
