| Claudia (US) - Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Tour: Our tour was absolutely wonderful! Cristina, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, spoke great English and was very flexible, which we appreciated. I would definitely utilize your company again and would recommend to my friends as well. |
Louise (US) – Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Tour: Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the Around and About Lisbon private all-day tour our group of five took to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril Portugal on September 11, 2010. Our guide, Annabella, arrived promptly at our hotel with driver and mini bus, and after talking with us about what we hoped to see and do during our tour that day, we were off! Couldn't have spent a more enjoyable time touring the Pena Palace in Sintra. Annabella was the perfect guide, friendly and accommodating and so knowledgeable about the history of the castle and surrounding area. She gave us wonderful descriptions of the many beautiful rooms, architecture, furniture and artifacts we were seeing, and we thoroughly enjoyed walking the winding, narrow path of the castle walls with her and admiring and photographing the many spectacular views from that vantage point. We did not book the optional lunch your tour offered, and when we asked Annabella for a luncheon suggestion, she took us to a restaurant with outdoor multi-level terraces where we had beautiful views of the coastline. We also enjoyed seeing Cabo de Rocha, the western most point in Europe, where Annabella helped us to take our photos before we blew away in the wind! Our walking tour of the town of Cascais was most pleasant and we followed it with a brief stop in Estoril. One of the positives of our tour was not being hampered by the clock as we often are in large group tours. We could explore at our leisure with the benefit of an excellent guide all to ourselves. I would definitely want to use Around and About Lisbon on a future trip to Portugal and would most certainly ask if we could have Annabella as our guide! |
